We Are Well Able

Hi all

I do realise we are a tad late with giving you the word this week, we hope we have not kept you too hungry.

What would you do if you knew everything you wanted to do would succeed?
How differently would you view yourself if you knew you were destined to win?

These are questions you may have been asked before and never really given any thought or maybe you did give it thought and after a while forgot the answers to the question.

Well, while you think on the answers to that. I would like to show you that you are more than you may think you are. In Numbers 13 God commanded Moses to send spies into the land that He was giving to the children of Israel (Note The Lord was giving them that land meaning it was in His power to do so).  These spies came back with a glowing report on what they had seen in the land (surely it flows with milk and honey. v27) however they also brought back a report of all the reasons they thought they could not possess the land (v28 & 29).

Many times that is how we are as well, God has the ability to do amazing things in and through us yet we focus not on the amazing but on the many reasons we think it cannot be done (how many times have you not applied for a job you knew you could do just because you thought I lack one requirement that disqualifies me?). The amazing thing is that the same people who had seen what God could do  (He delivered them from Pharaoh, He fed and clothed them in the wilderness), they are a walking testament to the goodness of The Lord and yet even after all that, they murmur and worry and fret about what they saw in the land.(see what happened to these in Numbers 14:11 & 23)

In verse 30 of Numbers 13 though someone, did stand up and said something remarkable. In the midst of all the doubt and fear Caleb says “Let us go up at once and possess it, for we are well able to overcome it” ( see what was said about Caleb in Numbers 14:24).

Which one of these two do you fall into? Are you the type who has seen God work in your life before and choose instead to focus on the situation and circumstances or are you the type who stands up to them and says “I am well able”?

Over the next few weeks we will remind ourselves of how big our God is and, because of that, how we are well able to overcome anything that tries to stand in the way of our good success. Yes you are well able to be triumphant the only thing that stands in your way is you.

Get excited to hear the word and I encourage you to also start sharing it with the world because “You Are Well Able”….

As always

  1. Our God is able, and us - in Him we live, move and have our being, hahaha, hence nothing is impossible to us!

Let us go up at once!
